Cyber Security Specialist - UAE National

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems, logs, and alerts to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents and threats.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with relevant technical teams.
• Implement and maintain security controls across networks, endpoints, applications, and cloud environments.
• Support the development, review, and enforcement of information security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Perform risk assessments for new systems, projects, and third-party services, and recommend mitigation measures.
• Lead or support incident response activities, including containment, investigation, documentation, and lessons learned.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and information security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Deliver security awareness activities and guidance to internal users.
• Prepare periodic reports on security posture, incidents, risks, and key performance indicators.
• Coordinate with service providers, auditors, and external authorities on security-related matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience

• 5 years of relevant experience in cyber security or information security operations.

Certifications (Preferred)

• CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection tools.
• Familiarity with cloud security and identity & access management.
• Understanding of risk management and security governance frameworks.
• Analytical thinking and sound problem-solving ability.
• Effective communication and report writing skills in English and Arabic.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle confidential information with integrity.
