Position Title: Cybersecurity Specialist
Department: Organization Excellence
Reports to: Organization Excellence Director
Direct Reports: NA (Standalone Position).
Role Description
The position provides Protect the organization's digital infrastructure by identifying and mitigating security threats, managing security tools, investigating breaches, and raising cybersecurity awareness
Role Accountabilities
- Develop and implement security policies to align with industry standards.
- Monitor network activity to identify vulnerabilities or threats
- Conduct regular security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans
- Investigate and mitigate security breaches or incidents
- Maintain and enhance firewalls, antivirus software, and data encryption programs
- Provide guidance on best practices for secure application development and deployment
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system architecture
- Train employees on security protocols and raise awareness about cybersecurity risks
- Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and developments in the cybersecurity field
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- 2 years of hands-on experience in information security roles.
- Relevant certifications is plus (e.g., CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM)
- Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NCA, NIST, CIS)
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
