Data Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Intelligence / Data Analyst to work with business teams to turn data into reports, dashboards and useful business insights.

You will gather requirements, work with data, develop dashboards and help business users understand and use data effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with business teams to understand their data and reporting requirements.
• Gather requirements for KPIs, dashboards and reports.
• Translate business requirements into data requirements for technical teams.
• Develop and maintain data models and reporting datasets.
• Use SQL to query, transform and analyse data.
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau.
• Create operational dashboards, ad-hoc analysis and scheduled reports.
• Ensure data is accurate, complete and reliable.
• Maintain data definitions, report specifications and documentation.
• Support business users with self-service data and analytics.

Requirements

Must have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering or a related role.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Hands-on experience developing dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, Amazon QuickSight or a similar BI tool.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, preferably AWS.
• Experience with Amazon Redshift, S3 or AWS Glue.
• Experience with data modelling, including dimensional modelling or star schema.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical data requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Python experience for data transformation or automation.
• Experience with AWS Glue Data Catalogue or similar tools.
• Experience working with Salesforce or other SaaS data sources.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality.
• Government or public sector experience.
