Role Overview

As a Data Analyst, you will be an authority of the data sets, understands how the data is created, maintained, and stored. Data Analyst also understands the trends in the patterns of those data sets and keeps track of the quality of those data sets.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, risks, and performance drivers across products, merchants, and customers.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis on business performance metrics including GMV, revenue, margins, unit economics, and customer behavior.
  • Generate actionable insights to identify inefficiencies, revenue leakage, and optimization opportunities.

Dashboards & Reporting

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to track key business, financial, and operational KPIs.
  • Create clear visualizations, graphs, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders using business intelligence tools.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for management and leadership teams.

Credit, Risk & Collections Analytics

  • Monitor credit and risk performance metrics such as approval rates, utilization, delinquency, repayment behavior, and cohort performance.
  • Analyze collections data including due payments, A/R aging, recovery rates, and delinquency trends.
  • Develop cohort-based analyses to track customer, merchant, and repayment behavior over time.

Data Quality & Process Improvement

  • Gather and document business and data requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Understand end-to-end data flows and processes that generate and maintain analytical data.
  • Monitor, audit, and improve data quality through validation, cleansing, and control checks.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend data-driven improvements.

Forecasting, Benchmarking & Strategic Support

  • Support forecasting, scenario analysis, and performance tracking through data modeling and variance analysis.
  • Present insights, findings, and recommendations clearly to management to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in business information systems, information management or computer science, or any related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analyticspreferably in fintech, payments, banking, e-commerce, or a related industry.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to draw actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Experience in fintech payments/BPNL, credit risk, fraud analytics, or consumer lending analytics.
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling and predictive analytics techniques.
  • Certification in querying/scripting language/ business intelligence and analytics platforms.
