About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to design and deliver enterprise-scale cloud data solutions for high-stakes Banking and Telco transformations across ASEAN & Australia. You will lead end-to-end architecture, from pre-sales to delivery, ensuring security, compliance, and business value, while collaborating with clients, partners, and hyperscalers to shape and execute our modern Data & AI roadmap.

• Be a Strategic Partner – Work directly with hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Azure), clients, and partners to co-create cutting-edge solutions and accelerators.
• Shape the Industry – Deliver high-stakes solutions that redefine customer experiences, operational resilience, and competitive advantage for global enterprises.

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

• Industry & Domain Expertise
• Proven track record in large-scale, mission-critical Banking (core banking modernization, AML, fraud analytics, risk & compliance) and Telco (OSS/BSS, network analytics, CX platforms) transformations.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory & compliance frameworks (PDPA, MAS TRM, APRA, GDPR) applied to secure data architecture design.
• Cloud & Data Architecture Mastery
• 5+ years designing and implementing AWS-based enterprise data platforms (data lakes, real-time streaming, analytics, ML integration).
• Expertise with hybrid/multi-cloud architectures, distributed systems, and cloud modernization projects.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Lambda, DynamoDB, Athena.
• Data Engineering & Governance
• Strong understanding of data security, governance, lineage, quality, cataloging, and compliance in enterprise environments.
• Ability to design, optimize, and tune data pipelines for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks (Glue, Kafka, Airflow, Lake Formation, Parquet, Spark/Hadoop ecosystem).
• Database & Analytics Technologies
• Deep knowledge of MPP and NoSQL databases, data warehouse design, and BI/reporting solutions.
• Strong skills in SQL-on-Hadoop/AWS technologies (Hive, Spark SQL, Athena, Redshift Spectrum).
• Programming experience in Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and architecture automation.
• Leadership & Delivery
• End-to-end ownership from pre-sales solutioning (RFI/RFP, SOWs, HLD/LLD) to delivery governance and business value realization.
• Experience collaborating with AWS engineering, support, and partner teams to co-develop solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with CxO-level business acumen, able to articulate technical architectures into clear business value.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead distributed technical teams across ASEAN & Australia.
• Willingness to travel across the region for client, partner, and delivery engagements.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GenAI data integration projects (vectorDBs, embeddings, chunking, MCP/tools integration).
• Multi-country, cross-cultural experience in ASEAN & Australia, adapting architectures to regulatory nuances.
• Familiarity with Azure, GCP, or multi-hyperscaler architectures for co-solutioning.
• Thought leadership exposure: conference speaking, whitepapers, open-source contributions.
• Involvement in commercial/strategic initiatives – GTM offerings, accelerators, sales pipeline support.
• Experience designing disaster recovery & backup strategies for large-scale data platforms.
