Data Architect Sr. Data Architect

Provide strategic decision-making, and guidance within technical disciplines, responding to disruptive analytical technologies and solving unique and complex problems. also researches, architects, and defines Advanced Analytics & Business Intelligence capabilities and strategies for information delivery and data exploration to support business function needs and goals. Responsible for developing, implementing and managing enterprise business and technical metadata, including data dictionaries, data lineage and all associated metadata initiatives.

Description:

1. Maintain and develop data collection, storage and transfer systems used by the project team
2. Support development of advanced data analytics products
3. Control and check data availability, data completeness and quality, integration of external and internal data sources, application of analytical tools
4. Manage and approve list of Critical Data Elements (CDEs) including providing domains with guidelines and support for prioritizing CDEs
5. Manage Business and Technical metadata as part of the data management architecture.
6. Establish, monitor and enforce business processes and standards for metadata management and compliance
7. Provide the required support to IT team(s) in terms of the technical aspects related to data architecture and logical data models for the bank's different systems and applications as well as the IT strategy in terms of data.
8. Define and maintain the logical data models and information assets
9. Provide template for structuring business metadata (e.g., business definitions, security/access levels,
10. data quality rules) and technical metadata (e.g., technical/physical data elements, data lineage)
11. Approve changes to metadata and manage new demand for metadata, business definitions and data lineage developed by domains.
12. Steers and validates the Data Solutions design and deployment processes with EA Governance committee (includes software choices, recommendation Buy/Make solution, etc.)
13. Act as the bridge between EDM Team, Bank Data Teams, and the wider information technology department also guide and align with Data Team to comply with approved Data architecture in terms of the technical aspects related to data architecture and logical data models for the bank's different systems and applications as well as the IT strategy in terms of data.
14. Provides technical knowledge translated from the business and guidance on best practices during Architecture Committee and Data governance committee.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
• Sr. Data Architect from 10 – 15 years demonstrating a high degree of proficiency in designing and developing complex, high-quality analytical solutions
• Data Architect from 7 – 10 years demonstrating a high degree of proficiency in designing and developing complex, high-quality analytical solutions
• 3+ years of experience of Data Lake/Hadoop platform implementation
• Experience Apache Hadoop and the Hadoop ecosystem
• Experience with one or more data streaming tools
• Experience with one or more relational and non-relational database
• Experience with one or more SQL-on-Hadoop technology (Hive, Impala, Spark SQL, Presto)
• Hands-on experience working with data technologies, like relational databases, ETL tool, columnar/NoSQL databases, unstructured data; experience with analytics technologies like R/Python, TensorFlow and/or BI/visualization tools like Tableau/Power BI; Cloud analytics platform experience preferred

Skills:
