Client Introduction
In this role, you will collaborate closely with one of our esteemed clients—a global leader in their industry, recognized for their commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence. They have partnered with Dautom as their trusted IT consulting provider for upcoming strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Center Operations
- Monitor and manage daily operations of the data center infrastructure including power, cooling, racks, and network environments.
- Ensure continuous uptime and availability of critical systems.
- Perform routine operational checks and inspections of data center facilities.
2. Incident & Problem Management
- Respond to infrastructure alerts, alarms, and operational incidents.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and coordinate with vendors or internal teams for resolution.
- Maintain incident reports and root cause documentation.
3. Infrastructure Monitoring
- Monitor UPS systems, generators, CRAC/CRAH units, environmental sensors, and DCIM tools.
- Ensure all systems operate within defined thresholds and compliance standards.
4. Vendor & Maintenance Coordination
- Coordinate with external vendors for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Supervise maintenance activities and ensure adherence to operational procedures.
5. Change & Access Management
- Support implementation of approved changes in the data center environment.
- Manage access control and ensure compliance with security procedures.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain operational documentation including SOPs, maintenance logs, and asset records.
- Prepare operational reports and provide updates to management.
7. Team Coordination
- Coordinate with NOC, network, and IT teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Support handover between shifts and maintain clear operational communication.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure including power, cooling, UPS, and network environments.
- Experience with incident management and infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Ability to coordinate with vendors and internal technical teams.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good documentation and reporting ability.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in enterprise or government data center environments.
- Familiarity with DCIM tools and data center operational standards.
- Understanding of Tier data center operational practices.
