We are looking for a highly experienced Data Center Operations Manager with a strong background in hyperscale environments. This role requires extensive technical expertise across critical infrastructure systems, combined with strong operational and project leadership to ensure maximum uptime, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. A comprehensive understanding of data center construction, commissioning, and handover processes is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of a hyperscale data center, ensuring 24/7 availability and SLA adherence.
- Manage the operation, maintenance, and performance of critical systems including UPS, generators, MV/LV switchgear, chillers, dry coolers, CRAC/CRAH units, and fire protection systems.
- Work closely with construction and MEP teams on new builds, expansions, upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements.
- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, statutory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Supervise and develop in-house technical teams and external service providers.
- Track KPIs, oversee capacity planning, manage risk mitigation, and lead incident response activities.
- Support project delivery activities, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience managing hyperscale data center operations.
- Strong technical expertise in electrical and mechanical (MEP) systems within mission-critical facilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of data center construction, commissioning, and handover processes.
- Proven experience managing critical power and cooling infrastructure.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience within data centers, ICT, or other mission-critical environments.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Strong financial acumen, stakeholder engagement, and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
