Job Overview:
As a Data Center Presales Engineer, the role focuses on supporting the design and positioning of data center solutions including servers, storage, virtualization, HCI, and backup systems. You will work closely with senior engineers and the sales team to understand customer requirements and contribute to building scalable and efficient data center solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support in designing data center solutions (servers, storage, virtualization, backup).
- Assist in preparing solution sizing and basic architecture designs.
- Translate customer requirements into technical inputs under guidance.
- Participate in customer meetings with senior presales engineers.
- Support in gathering technical requirements.
- Assist in presenting solutions when needed.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop detailed technical proposals, including solution descriptions, architectures, diagrams, sizing, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Lead customer presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements.
- Work closely with enterprise computing vendor partners (e.g., Dell, HPE, Lenovo, VMware, Veeam, Nutanix... ) to ensure alignment with the latest technologies and certification standards.
- Stay informed on vendor roadmaps and emerging technologies, ensuring solutions remain competitive and cutting-edge.
- Support demos, PoCs, and workshops.
- Assist in technical handover to delivery teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications (e.g., Dell, HPE, VMware Nutanix, Veritas, Veeam)
- 2–5 years of experience in presales engineering, technical support, or infrastructure roles focused on data center technologies.
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise opportunities or customer engagements related to data center solutions.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise IT environments, including data centers, Server virtualization, VDI, cloud solutions, Server & storage systems, and backup/disaster recovery.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
