Description
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team in the Gulf region. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in designing and managing data systems, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with data science teams to support data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, install, and maintain data management systems (data warehouses, data lakes, etc.)
- Transform and clean data for analysis and reporting purposes
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide necessary data support
- Monitor and optimize data pipelines for efficiency and performance
- Ensure data quality and integrity through proper validation and testing processes
Skills and Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle)
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
- Familiarity with data modeling and ETL processes
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and their data services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
