Data Governace Custodian

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Doha, Qatar, for a Data Governance Custodian. The Data Governance Custodian will be responsible for managing and maintaining data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with data policies, and overseeing data quality standards. Key tasks include data monitoring, collaboration with cross-functional teams to align governance practices, and providing training on data regulations and best practices. The role also involves analyzing data workflows and delivering actionable insights to enhance data management and utilization within the organization.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience working within a similar role
• Experience in Data Governance, Data Management, and maintaining compliance with data policies
• Knowledge of Data Frameworks, Quality Standards, Data Classification, and Data Privacy regulations
• Proficiency in Data Reporting and the ability to create thorough documentation
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Relevant certifications in Data Management or Governance (e.g., DAMA, DGI)
• Experience with any Data Gov tools e.g. Purview, Informatica, Onetrust etc.
