Data Governance Implementation Specialist

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Fully Onsite)
Contract: 1 Year contract
Language Preference: Arabic Speakers Preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and operationalize enterprise data governance frameworks and standards.
• Configure and manage Informatica governance tools, including:
• Informatica Axon
• Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC)
• Informatica Data Quality (IDQ)
• Translate governance policies and requirements into actionable workflows, stewardship processes, and governance controls.
• Support the establishment and maintenance of business glossaries, metadata repositories, data lineage, and data quality governance processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, stewards, and technology teams to embed governance capabilities into day-to-day operations.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, governance forums, and working sessions.
• Develop and maintain governance artefacts, including policies, standards, procedures, operating models, and implementation roadmaps.
• Monitor governance adoption, data quality metrics, and compliance with governance requirements.
• Provide guidance and recommendations on best practices for metadata management, data cataloging, lineage, and data quality management.
• Support organizational change management activities related to data governance initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-8 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or related disciplines.
• Hands-on implementation experience with:
• Informatica Axon
• Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC)
• Informatica Data Quality (IDQ)
• Strong understanding of:
• Metadata Management
• Business Glossary Management
• Data Lineage
• Data Quality Governance
• Data Stewardship Models
• Experience implementing governance workflows and operating models within large enterprises.
• Ability to convert governance requirements into practical and scalable solutions.
• Experience working with cross-functional business and technology stakeholders.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and workshop facilitation skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of DAMA-DMBOK principles and industry-standard data governance frameworks.
• Arabic language proficiency (spoken and written).
• Experience supporting enterprise-wide data transformation or data management programs.
• Relevant certifications in Data Governance, DAMA, Informatica, or related disciplines.
