Role Description:

The role of a data governance expert is essential in supporting an organization's data governance program. You will have the responsibility of executing various tasks that contribute to the successful design, definition, and implementation of data governance programs. With your expertise in data management and governance, particularly in relation to NDMO (National Data Management Office) and DAMA (Data Management Association) standards, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the ethical and effective utilization of data across the organization. Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining data governance policies, procedures, and standards.

• Research and analyze best practices in data governance to identify improvement opportunities.

• Track and report on key data governance metrics to measure the program's effectiveness.

• Engage with stakeholders across diverse business units to establish and document data governance goals, roles, and responsibilities.

• Create and deploy data governance controls, encompassing data access controls, data sharing agreements, and data retention policies.

• Take charge of data governance committees and working groups, fostering effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.

• Develop and deliver comprehensive data governance training programs to enhance data literacy and raise awareness throughout the organization.

• Perform data governance assessments, audits, and reviews to identify areas of improvement, risks, and gaps, and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.

Qualifications:

• (Must) 2 to 5 years of experience in the field of Data Governance.

• (Must) Fluent proficiency in Arabic language is a mandatory requirement for this position

• (Must) Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• (Must) Proven experience as a Data Governance Expert, with a strong understanding of data governance frameworks, NDMO, DAMA, and related standards

• CDMP certification is a plus

• Understanding of data management principles, including data lifecycle and data models.
