Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Governance Expert to lead and oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise data governance frameworks. The ideal candidate will ensure data quality, integrity, security, compliance, and alignment with regulatory and organizational standards while enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Define data ownership, stewardship roles, and accountability models.
- Establish data quality management processes and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data protection standards.
- Lead data classification, metadata management, and master data management (MDM) initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, risk, and business units to enforce governance controls.
- Monitor data quality KPIs and provide executive-level reporting.
- Oversee data lifecycle management including retention and archival policies.
- Support digital transformation and advanced analytics initiatives through structured governance practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or enterprise data strategy.
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK principles).
- Experience in data quality tools, metadata management systems, and MDM solutions.
- Familiarity with regulatory environments and data privacy standards.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Professional certifications in Data Governance or Data Management are a plus.
