Job Description

BCBS Data Governance would focus on applying data governance principles to regulatory data, ensuring that the bank meets its regulatory obligations through proper data controls, lineage, quality, and lifecycle management.

• Build and improve Data Management Policy and BCBS239 advisory and support documents, ensuring easily accessible, understood, current and aligned with processes and services.
• Maintain and improve the bank's BCBS239 compliance interpretation, ensuring it is current, understood, communicated, aligned to policy and processes and fit for purpose
• Lead Risk Taxonomy Control Library ad hoc projects as required by tracking annual refresh cycles, taxonomy and control changes and sharing updates to management.
• Provide expert advice to management in overseeing risk and control governance processes
• Design and lead delivery of training and education.
• Work with BAU workstreams and sub functions to drive improvements in compliance status where required
• Knowledge of BCBS239 and Data Management Policy, guidelines and data procedure requirements
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting and risk data requirements
• Aptitude in using data governance frameworks, controls and tools
• Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills
