Hiring: Data Management Department Manager (Emirati)

We are seeking an experienced Data Management Department Manager to lead the development and implementation of enterprise data management strategies, frameworks, and governance practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, data governance, data architecture, and analytics, with the ability to lead teams, manage strategic initiatives, and use data-driven insights to support organizational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data management strategies, policies, frameworks, and procedures.
• Lead enterprise-wide data collection, management, analysis, and reporting initiatives.
• Establish data governance standards, data quality controls, and data validation processes.
• Oversee data architecture, database structures, and centralized data management platforms.
• Ensure data management practices align with organizational requirements and applicable government standards.
• Monitor data system performance and recommend improvements to infrastructure, tools, and technologies.
• Lead data maturity assessments and develop continuous improvement plans.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders on data-related strategies and initiatives.
• Oversee data security, confidentiality, and compliance with information security policies.
• Lead departmental planning, performance management, budgeting, and team development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in data management, data governance, data analytics, or a related field.
• Experience developing and implementing enterprise data management frameworks, policies, and strategies.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data quality, database management, and data governance.
• Experience leading data management initiatives and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and coordinate with internal and external entities.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Background

Experience in government, semi-government, or large organizations with enterprise-wide data management and governance environments would be an advantage.
