Purpose of the Role

We're looking for a passionate and curious Data Scientist to help shape the future of data-driven decision-making across different functions. In this role, you'll transform data into actionable insights and scalable solutions that create business value across our diverse markets. Working at the intersection of technology and business, you'll partner with stakeholders, data professionals, and domain experts to develop analytics products that improve the way we operate and grow. You will be reporting to a Senior Data Scientist. You'll join a collaborative and supportive team delivering analytics initiatives across 29 markets, playing a key role in scaling existing solutions while exploring new opportunities. Whether you're refining predictive models, developing proof-of-concepts, or bringing innovative ideas to life, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while continuously learning and growing.

YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand opportunities, challenges, and priorities, translating them into data-driven solutions.
• Develop machine learning and statistical models, translating business challenges into proof of-concepts and scalable analytical solutions in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Analyze complex and large-scale datasets to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the design and development of new analytics solutions by building proof-of concepts and validating ideas with stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, data engineers, AI engineers, product managers, technical leads, and business experts to deliver end-to-end analytics products.
• Support the adoption and scaling of analytics solutions across multiple markets, ensuring sustainable value creation.
• Stay curious about emerging technologies and analytical approaches, contributing new ideas and best practices to the team.

ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS

• 2-3 years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or related fields.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and PySpark, with an interest in working with modern cloud and big data technologies.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Azure, Databricks, and Azure DevOps. Experience with Power BI or Power Apps would be an advantage.
• Solid foundations in machine learning, statistics, or optimization techniques, combined with a desire to continuously expand your expertise.
• Experience delivering analytics projects from concept to implementation, including proof-of concept development. Experience within FMCG, retail, or consumer goods environments is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset, with a passion for turning data into tangible business value.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills, enabling you to explain complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Exposure to Generative AI techniques or applications is considered a plus.
• A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or another relevant STEM discipline. A postgraduate degree is an advantage.
