Data Scientist - Elite Hedge Fund - Abu Dhabi - Up to $215k Base + Bonus

Durlston Partners is working with a premier Hedge Fund expanding its presence in Abu Dhabi. You'll be joining an intellectual powerhouse (a team composed of former Math Olympiad winners, Kaggle Grandmasters, and top-tier researchers) operating in a relaxed, open-collar environment.

You'll work closely with portfolio managers and quantitative researchers to extract value from vast, complex datasets. This is a high-impact role where you'll build sophisticated models, uncover hidden market signals, and directly influence investment strategies in a region rapidly becoming a global financial hub.

What You'll Do

• Apply advanced machine learning and statistical techniques to analyse large, alternative datasets.
• Build and deploy predictive models to identify new alpha signals and optimise trading strategies.
• Clean, process, and visualise complex data to provide actionable insights for the investment team.
• Collaborate with engineers to productionise research models and enhance the data infrastructure.

What They're Looking For

• Strong academic background in Maths, Statistics, CompSci, or Physics (Masters or PhD preferred).
• Proven experience working with modern financial data sets (e.g., alternative data, high-frequency tick data, or unstructured data sources).
• Expert-level proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and SQL.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) or natural language processing (NLP) is a plus.
