Data Scientist
We're looking for a Data Scientist to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you'll work with real datasets, real workflows, and a team that values curiosity and collaboration as much as technical skills.
What you'll do
- Work with large, sometimes messy datasets to uncover insights and support business decisions.
- Build and maintain data and machine learning workflows and pipelines that keep our projects running smoothly.
- Use Python, R, and SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data. (We work with both R and Python, so experience in one and willingness to learn the other is ideal.)
- Collaborate with teammates across Data Science, BI, DevOps, and Business Development.
- Share findings clearly with both technical colleagues and business stakeholders.
- Stay open to learning new tools and approaches—we explore and adopt new technologies regularly.
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience working with data: extracting, processing, analyzing, and communicating insights.
- Solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills—you can explain data-driven insights to different audiences.
- Proficiency in Python or R (both is a plus).
- SQL skills and experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DuckDB, etc.).
- A curious, proactive mindset—you enjoy exploring data, asking questions, and learning new things.
Bonus points for experience with
- Machine learning (tidymodels, mlr3, scikit-learn, etc.).
- Data visualization tools (Tableau, Sisense, Power BI).
- Shiny for R or Python.
- Big data tools (Spark, Databricks).
