Job Description

  • Data Scientist

  • For insurance company in Jeddah, KSA

  • Key Responsibilities

  • 1.Advanced Analytics & Modeling
  • oDevelop predictive models and statistical algorithms for Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) detection using SAS Viya and traditional SAS tools.
  • oPerform machine learning and AI-based anomaly detection leveraging Viya's cloud-native capabilities.

  • 2.SAS Viya Development
  • oDesign and implement analytics workflows on SAS Viya, including data preparation, model training, and deployment.
  • oOptimize Viya environments for scalability and performance in on-prem and cloud setups.

  • 3.Data Management
  • oManage large health insurance datasets across Viya and SAS platforms ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • oIntegrate Viya with other systems for seamless data flow and governance.

  • 4.Collaboration
  • oWork with business teams to define FWA strategies and KPIs.
  • oPartner with IT for Viya infrastructure setup and cloud migration.

  • 5.Visualization & Reporting
  • oBuild interactive dashboards and reports using Viya's visualization tools.
  • oPresent insights and recommendations to stakeholders for fraud prevention.

  • Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Technical Skills:
  • oStrong proficiency in SAS Viya and SAS Base/Enterprise Guide.
  • oExperience with machine learning, AI, and statistical modeling on Viya.
  • oKnowledge of Python/R integration with SAS Viya and SQL.

  • Domain Expertise:
  • oExperience in health insurance analytics and FWA detection is highly desirable.

  • Additional Skills:
  • oFamiliarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and Viya's Kubernetes- based architecture.
  • oStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
