About The Role
We are seeking a Data Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead enterprise-level data initiatives and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role combines strategic advisory, technical leadership, and delivery governance to design scalable data solutions that drive business outcomes and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Define and drive enterprise data strategy aligned with business objectives
Provide advisory on data architecture, governance, and analytics frameworks
Lead data governance initiatives, including data quality, integrity, and compliance standards
Architect and oversee implementation of scalable data platforms, pipelines, and analytics solutions
Drive best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and performance optimization
Engage and influence senior stakeholders to support key business decisions
Lead cross-functional teams and act as escalation point for complex data issues
Manage end-to-end delivery of data initiatives, ensuring alignment with timelines, KPIs, and value realization
Required Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data architecture
Proven expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and scalable data pipeline design
Strong experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Proficiency in SQL, Python, or comparable programming languages
Experience in data governance, including data quality, MDM, and metadata management
Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders at senior leadership levels
Experience leading enterprise-scale data transformation or delivery programs
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
Experience in consulting environments or multi-stakeholder delivery settings
Certifications in cloud or data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks)
Exposure to AI/ML or advanced analytics use cases
Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
Domain knowledge in industries such as Banking, Government, Insurance, or Telecommunications
