About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise data pipelines, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient data flow across systems. This role oversees the end-to-end data engineering lifecyclefrom ingestion and processing to storage and deliverysupporting analytics, reporting, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines.
• Oversee ETL/ELT processes for both structured and unstructured data sources.
• Architect and implement modern data platforms such as data lakes and data warehouses.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and scientists to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, performance, and security across all systems.
• Mentor junior data engineers and manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Evaluate and integrate new data engineering tools, frameworks, and best practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern data pipeline tools.
• Solid understanding of data platforms and services.
• Hands-on experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and real-time data processing.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience in banking or related industries is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel).
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
