Role Purpose
- Design, administer, and optimize cloud-hosted database platforms to ensure availability, performance, security, and recoverability.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer cloud database platforms including provisioning, upgrades, patching, backup, and recovery.
- Design and maintain high availability and disaster recovery configurations.
- Perform database performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Implement database security controls including access management, encryption, and auditing.
- Automate database operations where feasible and document operational procedures.
- Support production incidents and root cause analysis related to database services.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases in cloud environments.
- Proven expertise in backup, recovery, HA/DR, and performance tuning.
- Experience with automation and scripting for database operations.
