Job Description
- In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Install, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server databases; track and apply patches and CUs with minimal impact.
- Monitor performance using SSMS, Profiler, and AWS Compute Optimizer; configure alerts and resolve issues.
- Implement and document disaster recovery strategies; ensure regular testing and compliance.
- Ensure security compliance, support audits, and respond to SQL-related support tickets per SLA.
- Automate routine tasks and develop a strategic roadmap for SQL infrastructure improvements.
- The essential requirements of the job include:5+ years of experience administering large number of Microsoft SQL Servers in enterprise environments.
- Proficiency with centralized management tools like SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Profiler, and monitoring tools (e.g., AWS Compute Optimizer)
- Experience with backup/recovery strategies, patch management, and performance tuning
- Strong understanding of database security, compliance, and audit readiness
- AWS certification or demonstrated knowledge of AWS services relevant to SQL Server hosting and monitoring
