Position Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server database environments. You will ensure database stability, availability, and performance while supporting business applications and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Administering and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server database environments
- Installing, configuring, and monitoring SQL Server instances and related services
- Performing database maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Managing backup, restore, and basic disaster recovery procedures
- Supporting High Availability (HA) solutions including database mirroring and replication
- Monitoring database health, system performance, and ensuring stable operations
- Creating and maintaining database structures and technical documentation
- Supporting SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
- Collaborating with internal IT teams and external vendors when required
- Assisting with Power BI reporting and dashboards on a familiar/basic level
- Handling incidents, troubleshooting database-related issues, and supporting daily operations
- Ensuring compliance with IT security standards and company policies
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration
- Good knowledge of:
- SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
- SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
- Database structures and database administration concepts
Experience with
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server environments
- Database monitoring and performance optimization
- Basic disaster recovery procedures
- High Availability (HA) systems
- Database mirroring and replication
- Familiarity with Power BI
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and database environments
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Fluent English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in enterprise or production database environments
- Knowledge of backup and recovery best practices
- Microsoft SQL certifications are considered a plus
