Join our team as a Database Administrator! In this role, you'll be at the forefront of enhancing database efficiency and performance. Your responsibilities will include providing expert recommendations for optimization, analyzing DBMS performance, fine-tuning SQL queries, and ensuring data integrity and compliance. Responsibilities:
- Provide recommendations for improvements or optimisations
- Analysis of DBMS performance problems and issue recommendations to improve the efficiency of applications
- Provide SQL development support and query tuning
- Develop and proactively review the monitoring of production PostgreSQL databases
- Maintaining data integrity by monitoring database activity to ensure that it meets regulations on security and compliance
- Enforce architectural governance, database standards and best practices
- Writes and reviews stored procedures and makes recommendations for optimization
- Develop automation standards for repeated, routine database tasks
- Manage database access
Requirements:
- 4+ years experience in PostgreSQL
- Solid understanding of high availability (HA) solutions
- Expertise in SQL development, database design, DML, and DDL
- Understanding of query planning and optimization techniques
- In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL tuning and optimization parameters
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL replication techniques
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup, recovery, and performance monitoring standards
- Experience with Amazon RDS, MySQL, TiDB, CockroachDB, or other distributed database systems is a plus
- Experience with container runtime and management software like Docker, Kubernetes is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication skills
