The Delegate Sales Executive is responsible for driving paid delegate attendance and revenue for conferences and exhibitions. The role involves identifying and engaging prospective delegates, building relationships with senior industry professionals, and converting leads into confirmed registrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive delegate sales revenue through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other sales channels.
- Identify and prospect potential delegates within target industries and markets.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from initial contact through to conversion.
- Understand event content, speakers, and value propositions to effectively sell delegate passes.
- Develop relationships with senior executives, decision-makers, and industry professionals.
- Achieve individual weekly, monthly, and event-specific sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, activities, and sales performance within the CRM.
- Collaborate with marketing and conference production teams to improve lead generation and delegate acquisition.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with prospects and manage objections effectively.
- Provide market feedback and insights to support event growth and audience development.
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of experience in delegate sales, telesales, B2B sales, exhibitions, conferences, or a similar environment.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and revenue targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Confident in outbound prospecting and engaging senior-level professionals.
- Commercially driven, proactive, and results-oriented.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales prospecting tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
