Job Description

The Delivery Director is responsible for ensuring seamless, safe, and efficient execution of all tower crane and site operations on major projects in Saudi Arabia. This role oversees the full lifecycle of operations—from planning and design through erection, maintenance, dismantling, logistics, and continuous improvement—ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards.


Tasks

Operational Leadership



  • Plan and manage all aspects of site operations, including erection, dismantling, logistics, maintenance, and supply chain control.

  • Ensure full compliance with BS 7121, LOLER, and Saudi Arabia regulations.

  • Develop and implement a site-wide lifting and cranage strategy.

  • Conduct on-site inspections and monitor safe lifting procedures.

  • Prepare and sign Lift Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments and act as the appointed person for lifting operations on the project as and when required.

  • Evaluate environmental issues, site hazards, and complex lift requirements.

  • Coordinate load lists, transport, rigging crews, and shipment tracking.

  • Oversee yard and storage facility operations, ensuring proper maintenance and inventory control.


Stakeholder & Performance Management



  • Manage stakeholder requirements and ensure contractual, statutory, and profitability KPIs are met.

  • Build strong partnerships with project stakeholders to position the company as a market leader.

  • Analyse performance periodically to identify improvements.

  • Report KPIs to senior leadership.

  • Support work‑winning and project planning functions.


People Management



  • Recruit, develop, and manage staff to ensure high-quality project delivery.

  • Implement training programs and ensure personnel competence in lifting operations.

  • Conduct annual performance appraisals and maintain accurate training records.

  • Align manpower planning with HR and ensure working hours are controlled.


Safety & Compliance



  • Foster a culture of safety, best practice, and continual improvement.

  • Review accident investigations to identify causal factors and corrective actions.

  • Maintain compliance documentation and plant records.


Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years experience in a similar role.

  • Strong project management experience and in‑depth knowledge of crane operations.

  • Bachelor's degree or NVQ Level 6 equivalent.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and people‑management skills.

  • Excellent organisational skills and deep understanding of safety and legislative requirements.

  • Full understanding of BS 7121 and best‑practice lifting standards.
