Purpose Of The Role:

The Delivery Lead – Investments is accountable for the successful delivery of the Bank's investment management platform and the broader technology change agenda across front office investment, middle office, and private wealth functions. The role combines project delivery and business analysis, drawing on deep investment management experience across private and public markets, to ensure the platform and supporting workflows are fit for purpose.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project & Program Delivery

  • Lead the delivery of the investment management platform build-out and the resulting program of downstream work.
  • Select and apply the appropriate delivery methodology for each initiative (waterfall, agile, or iterative/incremental), based on the nature and risk profile of the work.
  • Take ownership of technology work integrating with other internal and external platforms, market data providers, and third parties to source investment data and details.

Business Analysis

  • Lead business analysis across front office investment, middle office, and private wealth functions.

Vendor & Commercial Management

  • Manage vendors delivering investment platform and related project work, whether on a fixed-price or time & materials (T&M) basis.
  • Own accountability for vendor spend on T&M engagements, ensuring time and resource usage is accurate, justified, and tracked against agreed scope.
  • Track and manage project and program budgets, escalating variances and ensuring spend remains within approved boundaries.

Governance, PMO & Methodology

  • Establish and maintain project delivery methodology, standards, and governance across Technology initiatives, including designing PMO methodology, templates, and artifacts, and implementing supporting project management tooling, providing PMO-level discipline.
  • Plan and manage the Change Advisory Board (CAB) process, covering risk assessment, business sign-off, and release scheduling.
  • Act as the liaison and owner of risk and audit response for Technology delivery.
  • Act as the point of contact and ownership for external assessments and departmental audits.
  • Compile portfolio-level reporting across Technology applications, projects, and spend.

To measure and monitor the performance of the role in the context of the Section/Department's activities

  • Delivery performance: on-time, on-budget delivery of the investment platform and related programs
  • Vendor spend accuracy: accuracy and value of T&M vendor spend against delivered work
  • Budget adherence: project and program budget variance
  • Governance currency: timeliness and quality of risk register and audit reporting
  • Release governance: effectiveness of CAB and business-side release sign-off
  • Requirements quality: quality and completeness of specifications, measured by downstream rework

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge

  • 10-15 years of experience in investment management, private wealth, or asset management technology, with several years focused on private markets technology
  • Strong formal project/program delivery background, including experience across multiple delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile, iterative)
  • Proven business analysis experience across investment operations: front office, middle office, and portfolio management workflows
  • Proficiency with project management and planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, or similar)

Minimum Entry Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • PMP (or equivalent formal project management certification) required

Certifications Desirable:

  • CFA, CAIA, or IMC desirable
