Overview
The Vehicle Delivery Officer is responsible for coordinating and executing the delivery of vehicles from the stockyard to customers or other facilities. This role ensures timely and safe vehicle deliveries while maintaining accurate records and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles for delivery, including cleaning and inspecting for quality.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with customers and logistics teams.
- Drive vehicles to delivery locations or load them onto transport carriers.
- Verify delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures upon receipt.
- Report any vehicle damage or delivery issues to the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with safety and traffic regulations during transport.
- Assist with stockyard tasks, such as vehicle organization, when not delivering.
Qualifications
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in vehicle handling or delivery preferred.
- Strong organizational and customer service skills.
- Ability to navigate routes and use basic GPS systems.
- Physically able to drive, inspect vehicles, and perform light lifting.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment
- Mix of outdoor stockyard work and on-road driving, with exposure to weather.
- Requires frequent driving, vehicle inspections, and occasional paperwork.
