General Description
The Demand Planner – Inventory is responsible for forecasting regional demands of project-related equipment accessories and consumables, ensuring that stock levels are proactively managed and replenished in time to support smooth execution by the project planning teams. The role focuses on data-driven planning, Min/Max level monitoring, and ensuring material readiness for project execution. This role supports optimal stock availability for all regional needs and contributes to supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate regional forecasts for equipment accessories and consumables based on historical consumption trends, seasonal variations, and input from operations.
- Analyse usage patterns and update forecasts periodically to reflect actual demand fluctuations.
- Collaborate with senior planners to incorporate project pipeline data into regional demand planning.
- Monitor and maintain Min/Max stock levels for each region and initiate replenishment requests as required.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely purchase and delivery of materials.
- Proactively track pending replenishments and follow up with suppliers/logistics for on-time stock availability.
- Generate and maintain reports on stock availability, inventory turns, slow-moving items, and forecast accuracy.
- Ensure inventory planning data is accurately updated in ERP systems and planning tools.
- Provide visibility on stock readiness for the project planning team.
- Assist in identifying discrepancies in item descriptions or codes and report them to senior planners for correction.
- Support the standardisation of inventory data to maintain system accuracy.
- Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and senior demand planners to align on replenishment priorities.
- Provide planners with regular updates on item availability to support mobilisation planning.
Qualification requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and/or master's degree in business, Supply Chain, or other related fields
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in demand planning/forecasting role
- Fluent in English, verbal and written
- A solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
- Strong mathematical and analytical knowledge
- Problem Solving attitude
- The capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
