Operating in over 100 countries, the company offers a broad portfolio of solutions—including hinges, drawer systems and advanced fittings—serving residential, commercial and industrial markets.

Position Overview

The client is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Demand Planner to support its Middle East and Africa operations. This role is responsible for developing and continuously improving demand forecasts across a diverse portfolio of retail and project-based products. The Demand Planner will play a critical role in balancing service levels, inventory optimization and working capital. Acting as a key link between Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain, the role translates business plans into accurate and actionable demand forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage rolling 12–18 month demand forecasts by SKU, customer, channel and market
  • Build and maintain forecasts across both retail and project/bulk product streams
  • Analyze historical sales data, seasonality, promotions and project pipelines to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Monitor and improve forecast accuracy, bias and error across large SKU portfolios
  • Lead the demand planning input into the monthly S&OP / IBP cycle
  • Consolidate, validate and challenge demand inputs from Sales teams
  • Present demand plans, risks and gaps to senior management and drive alignment
  • Collaborate with Sales to capture promotions, campaigns, project pipelines, bulk orders and new product launches
  • Partner with Supply Chain to manage inventory performance, slow movers, and obsolescence risks
  • Translate demand plans into feasible supply and inventory plans
  • Maintain and validate demand planning data within SAP and planning tools
  • Ensure accuracy of master data for SKUs, customers and market hierarchies
  • Develop advanced Excel models, dashboards and scenario analyses to support decision-making

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of demand planning experience within manufacturing, building materials or industrial consumer products
  • Proven experience managing large SKU portfolios across retail and project-based channels
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP and advanced Excel (forecasting models, pivot tables, Power Query, scenario analysis)
  • Experience in environments combining retail distribution and project-based sales is essential
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced, multi-market environments
