Position Summary: The Demand & Distribution Planning Specialist (Oracle Fusion) is responsible for developing demand plans and translating approved demand signals into distribution and replenishment requirements for finished goods. The role supports product availability, inventory health, and S&OP decision-making through Oracle Fusion Demand Planning, forecast analysis, replenishment logic, and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Demand Planning & Forecast Management
- Develop, review, and maintain demand forecasts using sales history, trends, promotions, seasonality, and business inputs.
- Analyze forecast changes, exceptions, key demand drivers, accuracy, bias, and volatility.
- Document major demand assumptions, risks, and high-impact changes for planning reviews.
2. Oracle Fusion Demand Planning
- Use Oracle Fusion Demand Planning to generate, review, adjust, and analyze forecasts.
- Maintain relevant planning parameters, forecast inputs, item-location data, and system outputs.
- Validate Oracle Fusion outputs against sales trends, inventory status, and commercial inputs.
- Coordinate with IT/system support for data, integration, configuration, or output issues.
3. Distribution & Finished Goods Replenishment
- Translate approved demand signals into distribution and replenishment requirements.
- Review safety stock assumptions, order quantities, replenishment frequency, and inventory targets.
- Monitor stock availability, shortages, excess stock, slow-moving inventory, and replenishment performance.
- Recommend actions to improve service level, product availability, and inventory utilization.
4. S&OP Support & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Prepare demand and distribution inputs for Demand Review, Supply/Distribution Review, Pre-S&OP, and Executive S&OP.
- Provide insights on demand changes, forecast risks, inventory availability, shortages, excess stock, and distribution constraints.
- Support alignment with Sales, Finance, Logistics, Operations, IT, and Supply Chain Planning stakeholders.
5. Reporting, Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare reports and dashboards covering forecast accuracy, bias, service level, stock availability, inventory health, shortages, and excess stock.
- Use Excel, Power BI, and planning system reports to analyze performance and highlight actionable insights.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for forecast errors, stock-outs, excess inventory, or replenishment deviations.
- Improve forecasting discipline, Oracle Fusion usage, replenishment logic, data quality, and planning governance.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory planning, replenishment planning, or supply chain planning.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Demand Planning.
- Experience in retail, distribution, FMCG, consumer goods, or multi-location inventory environments is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting S&OP, demand review, supply/distribution review, or planning performance reporting is preferred.
