Job Description:
1. Denodo Development & Data Virtualization
- Design, develop, and optimize Denodo views, VDP models, and data services
- Build and maintain logical data layers for analytics, BI, and reporting
- Implement data federation, caching strategies, and query optimization
- Integrate Denodo with Lakehouse sources (databases, cloud, object storage)
- Support code migration, deployment, and post-release stabilization
2. Application Support & Operations
- Provide L1/L2 support for Denodo platform components:
- Virtual DataPort (VDP)
- Data Catalog
- Scheduler
- Solution Manager
- Monitor system health, query workloads, and server performance using Denodo monitoring tools
- Perform daily health checks and publish operational status reports
3. Incident & Problem Management
- Act as the first point of contact for incidents impacting Denodo services
- Troubleshoot query failures, slow performance, and data access issues
- Perform job reruns, service recovery, and SLA-based resolution
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures
4. Data Lakehouse Integration
- Support connectivity across databases, Teradata, cloud platforms, and external data sources
- Ensure reliable data virtualization and federated query execution
- Manage metadata ingestion, lineage, and catalog population
5. Scheduler & Job Orchestration
- Monitor and manage:
- Cache refresh jobs
- Scheduled queries and pipelines
- API-based automation workflows
- Troubleshoot job failures, delays, and concurrency issues
6. Web & Backend Application Support
- Support Denodo UI modules (React/Redux-based interfaces)
- Troubleshoot UI errors, rendering issues, and browser compatibility
- Analyze Java logs, REST API failures, JVM performance, and Tomcat issues
- Resolve backend service disruptions affecting VDP and metadata services
7. Metadata & Database Support
- Manage Denodo metadata repository (SQL Server 2022)
- Ensure metadata consistency, integrity, and growth monitoring
- Support backup, validation, and environment synchronization
8. Performance Optimization
- Optimize query execution plans, caching, and federation strategies
- Improve performance across large-scale Data Lakehouse workloads
- Identify bottlenecks in data access, services, and infrastructure
9. Release & Change Management
- Support deployment, code promotion via Solution Manager
- Perform post-deployment validation and smoke testing
- Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management
10. Documentation & Automation
- Maintain runbooks, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and architecture documents
- Automate monitoring and regression checks using scripts/Selenium
- Document environment topology and operational procedures

Required Skills & Experience
- 3–8+ years in Denodo development and application support
- Strong expertise in data virtualization, federation, and query optimization
- Hands-on experience with Denodo tools and logs (VDP, Scheduler, Catalog, Tomcat)
- Experience in Data Lakehouse environments (Teradata/Hadoop/Cloud)
- Strong SQL and metadata management knowledge
- Proven experience in incident management and production support
- Ability to work in 24/7 support/on-call environments
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or related field
- Denodo Certification (preferred)

- Ability to lead incident calls and coordinate cross-functional teams
