Job Description:
Data Virtualization & Integration
- Design and develop data virtualization layers and virtual views (base, derived, interface views)
- Integrate data from multiple sources (RDBMS, APIs, cloud platforms, flat files
- Build logical and semantic data models for enterprise reporting
2. Denodo Development
- Develop Denodo views, VQL scripts, and data services (REST/SOAP)
- Create reusable data services and expose them to downstream applications
- Implement transformations, joins, and data pipelines within Denodo
3. Performance Optimization
- Optimize query performance using caching, indexing, and federated queries
- Tune Denodo views and queries for scalability and efficiency
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks
4. Security & Governance
- Implement data security, masking, and role-based access controls (RBAC)
- Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance standards
- Manage metadata, lineage, and audit processes
5. Administration & Support
- Configure and maintain Denodo environments across DEV / TEST / PROD
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve Denodo-related issues
- Manage deployments, scheduler jobs, and environment configurations
- Support production operations and incident management
6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work with data architects, business analysts, and BI teams
- Translate business requirements into data solutions
- Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders
7. Documentation & Best Practices
- Maintain documentation (data models, integration flows, standards)
- Define and enforce Denodo development and deployment best practices
- Ensure knowledge sharing across teams
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in:
- Denodo Platform (Development and/or Administration)
- Data Virtualization concepts
- Expertise in:
- SQL, VQL
- Data modelling (logical & semantic models)
- Knowledge of:
- APIs (REST, SOAP), JSON, XML
- Data Warehousing & ETL/ELT concepts
- Relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
