Job Description

Gems International School - Soma Bay is seeking a dedicated and proactive Deputy Head of Curriculum & Administration to join our leadership team. This critical role involves assisting with the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic programs while ensuring efficient administrative operations across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of School in managing the school's curriculum development and implementation processes, ensuring alignment with the educational goals and standards
  • Assist in the evaluation of educational programs, analyzing data to inform continuous improvement and academic excellence
  • Oversee administrative tasks related to curriculum implementation, including scheduling, staff assignments, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with faculty to provide professional development opportunities that enhance instructional practices and promote innovative teaching strategies
  • Facilitate communication between various stakeholders, including students, parents, and the community, regarding curriculum and academic initiatives
  • Contribute to strategic planning and school improvement initiatives, working closely with senior leadership to address challenges and optimize educational outcomes
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with educational policies and regulations, ensuring that curriculum documentation and reporting are accurate and timely
  • Support the integration of technology in the classroom to enhance teaching and learning experiences
  • Foster a positive and collaborative school culture that supports the growth of both students and staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an educational setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development processes and educational best practices
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in data analysis for informed decision-making in academic settings
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and software to enhance administrative and instructional functions
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students
