We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Programme Director to join the Global Programme Management Office (PMO) supporting the delivery of one of the most ambitious and innovative international destination programmes ever undertaken.

Based in Riyadh, this landmark global event will redefine the traditional expo experience by blending immersive cultural zones, daily activations, and AI-driven experiences. The programme will seamlessly merge world-class hospitality with cutting-edge technology, creating a destination designed to welcome millions of visitors from across the world.

As Deputy Programme Director, you will support the strategic leadership and operational delivery of a complex, multi-billion-dollar programme comprising major infrastructure, pavilions, public realm, cultural assets, and advanced digital experiences. Working within the Global PMO, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating programme delivery, ensuring governance excellence, and aligning multiple stakeholders and delivery partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Programme Director in leading the successful delivery of a major international programme from the Global PMO
• Provide strategic oversight across multiple programme workstreams including infrastructure, venue delivery, cultural zones, and visitor experience
• Lead programme governance, reporting, risk management, and executive briefings
• Coordinate international consultants, contractors, and programme partners across a complex delivery ecosystem
• Ensure integration between construction delivery, digital innovation, operational planning, and event activation
• Drive programme performance, schedule integration, and delivery assurance across the portfolio
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture across multidisciplinary and multicultural teams

About You

• Significant experience delivering large-scale programmes or mega-projects within complex international environments
• Proven leadership experience within programme management or PMO structures
• Strong track record in governance, programme controls, and strategic delivery oversight
• Experience coordinating multiple delivery partners, consultants, and contractors
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive level
• Degree qualified in engineering, construction, project management, or related discipline (advanced qualifications desirable)
