Deputy Project Manager

Job Purpose:

Supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing projects to ensure timely, on-budget, and high-quality delivery. The role facilitates team communication, monitors progress, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, contributing to the successful completion of project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and delivering project activities within scope and timelines.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks or issue, and provide regular status updates.
• Support resource planning, task prioritization, and workload coordination.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and records throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and organizational policies.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders and team members.
• Assist in budget tracking and help ensure project costs remain within approved limits.
• Participate in project reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the achievement of organizational goals through teamwork, accountability, and effective project execution.

Education and Experience:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 5–7 years of experience in project management or project coordination.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with project lifecycle methodologies, project management tools, budget and resource management, risk management, stakeholder communication, and organizational quality and compliance standards. PMP certification is preferred.
