Job Purpose

The duties of the dermatologist include providing patient consultations, determining skin ailments, prescribing medication, providing skin treatments, performing noninvasive surgery, and referring patients to other specialists if the skin condition does not fall under his/her medical skillset.

Responsibilities

Offers skin consultations & evaluates patient's skin conditions.

Utilizes patient's medical history as part of skin assessments.

Prescribes medications for the treatment of skin conditions.

Recommends appropriate laboratory, histopathological investigation and treatment products.

Performs invasive and noninvasive surgical procedures on the skin such as:

-Skin Treatments: Vitiligo, Psoriasis, Eczema, Fungal Infections, Burns, Wounds, Acne Cure, Skin Pigmentation, Freckles, Melasma, Removal of Skin Tags, Moles, Warts, and others. and Scar Treatment.

-Cosmetic Treatments: Botox (Lips, Cheeks, Neck and Nose), Filler, Profhilo Injection, Dermabrasion, Thread Lift (Face, Neck an Eyebrows), Mesotherapy (Face, Hair, Dark Eye Circle, Fat Reduction-Double Chin).

-Laser Treatments: Carbon Laser, Fractional Laser and Laser Hair Removal.

-RF Micro-needling:Morpheus 8 for tightening, contouring, acne scars and others.

-Hair Treatment: Hair Loss Treatment (Derma pen and Mesotherapy).

Educates patients about the status of their skin health and advises them on skin health tips and best practices.

Performs appropriate cosmetic procedures as approved by MOPH.

Assesses patients skin condition before any procedures and discusses the associated benefits and expected side effects & risks.

Discusses the consent form needed for procedures and treatments with the patients.

Refers patients to another specialist doctor if required.

Tracks and maintains patients records regularly

Adheres with laws, clinical policies and regulations.

Participates in new staff orientation and training.

Completes all training requirements for all dermatology services and devices.

Competencies

• Must have a Bachelor's degree of Medicine.
• Must have Master's degree in Dermatology.
• Must have a QCHP license as a Dermatologist with approved privileges.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of total experience, 3 years as a Specialist Dermatologist.
• Excellent attention to detail during consultations with patients and reviewing medical records.
• Strong interpersonal skills within the medical team and also with patients.
• Manual dexterity to examine the skin, apply treatments, and perform minor surgeries.
• Strong clinical diagnostic skills and communications.
• Commitment to a high standard of care through the promotion and maintenance of skin health.
