We are seeking a highly skilled Dermatologist to provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services. The successful candidate will diagnose and treat a wide range of skin, hair, and nail disorders while delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. The role also includes performing advanced aesthetic procedures and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This reflects the scope commonly expected of consultant dermatologists in Dubai's private hospitals and specialty clinics.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic skin, hair, and nail disorders.
- Evaluate and treat conditions including:
- Acne and acne scarring
- Eczema and dermatitis
- Psoriasis
- Rosacea
- Vitiligo
- Skin infections
- Hair loss disorders
- Nail diseases
- Pigmentary disorders
- Skin allergies
- Perform comprehensive dermatological examinations and dermoscopy.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical guidelines.
- Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.
- Perform skin biopsies and minor dermatological surgical procedures.
- Screen for and manage skin cancers and precancerous lesions.
- Refer patients to other specialists when appropriate.
Cosmetic & Aesthetic Dermatology
- Perform cosmetic dermatology procedures including:
- Botulinum toxin (Botox)
- Dermal fillers
- Chemical peels
- PRP therapy
- Microneedling
- Mesotherapy
- Laser treatments
- Skin rejuvenation procedures
- Scar revision treatments
- Assess patient suitability for aesthetic procedures.
- Counsel patients regarding expected outcomes, risks, and aftercare.
- Maintain high standards of safety during cosmetic procedures.
Patient Care
- Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform clinical assessments.
- Educate patients on skin health, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Obtain informed consent before procedures.
- Provide follow-up care and monitor treatment progress.
Quality & Compliance
- Comply with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulations and hospital policies.
- Adhere to infection prevention and patient safety standards.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ethical practice.
- Participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME) and professional development.
Collaboration
- Work closely with plastic surgeons, endocrinologists, oncologists, rheumatologists, family physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions.
- Supervise junior physicians, residents, and nursing staff when required.
Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- MD/DNB/Board Certification or equivalent qualification in Dermatology.
- Recognized Consultant qualification as per DHA/PQR requirements.
- Fellowship or advanced training in Cosmetic Dermatology is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of post-specialization clinical experience.
- Experience in both medical and cosmetic dermatology.
- Experience working in a hospital or multispecialty clinic is preferred.
