Description
* Manage the design function within the Project Management & Engineering department, overseeing all aspects of master planning and concept design.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines throughout the design process.
* Monitor the performance of the Design & Development unit, preparing periodic reports on individual and unit performance.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate information flow and build awareness on design-related matters.
* Supervise day-to-day operations of the design team to ensure adherence to established standards and procedures.
* Review all design documents and plans, ensuring alignment with project goals and budget constraints.
* Provide technical expertise to support the translation of master plans into detailed designs.
* Manage the selection and work of consultants, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline compliance.
* Conduct regular evaluations of consultant progress and provide necessary feedback.
* Support the development of policies and procedures related to design operations and ensure their implementation.
* Oversee people management activities, including staff development, performance appraisals, and feedback provision.
* Ensure adherence to environment, health, and safety policies throughout the design and development process.
* Foster a culture of change management and continuous improvement within the team.

The successful candidate will have a strong educational background, holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architectural Engineering & Design, along with relevant certifications such as AutoCAD and Revit. They will possess significant experience in architectural design and project management, ideally with 4 to 6 years for Bachelor's degree holders (including at least 2 years in a managerial role) or 2 to 4 years for postgraduate holders (with at least 1 year in a managerial capacity).
