About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and creative Design Director to lead the Architecture and Interior Design function across hospitality projects. The role will be responsible for setting the overall design vision, ensuring design quality and consistency, and translating the brand and business objectives into distinctive, functional, and memorable hospitality environments.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Architecture and Interior Design, with proven experience in hospitality, lifestyle, hotel, resort, or mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities

- Oversee architectural and interior design concepts from initial concept through design development and execution.
- Review and approve design concepts, layouts, materials, finishes, FF&E, furniture, fixtures, and design details.
- Ensure designs balance aesthetics, functionality, guest experience, operational requirements, and commercial objectives.
- Lead and manage external architects, interior designers, design consultants, and other creative partners.
- Review design submissions and provide clear creative and technical direction.
- Collaborate closely with Development, Operations, Hospitality, FM, Project Management, and other stakeholders.
- Drive value engineering while protecting the overall design intent and quality.
- Conduct design reviews, site visits, and quality assessments throughout project execution.
- Identify innovative opportunities to enhance guest areas, public spaces, amenities, F&B areas, and overall hospitality experiences.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, technical requirements, and project standards.
- Manage design timelines, deliverables, priorities, and budgets in coordination with project teams.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to internal design teams and contribute to building a strong design culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related discipline.
- 8–13 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within the Hospitality, Hotels, Resorts, Lifestyle, or Mixed-Use sectors.
- Proven experience leading Architecture and Interior Design projects from concept to execution.
- Strong knowledge of architectural and interior design principles, materials, finishes, FF&E, and spatial planning.
- Experience managing international/local design consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of design development, technical drawings, specifications, and project delivery.
- Strong creative vision combined with commercial and operational awareness.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in relevant design and presentation tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent software.
