Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Design Engineer specializing in LV Switchgear Systems to join a reputed switchgear manufacturing plant in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in LV power panels and MCCs, with hands-on experience in design, documentation, and coordination with production and OEMs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering designs, drawings, and technical submittals
- Develop compliance statements in line with project specifications in coordination with the Estimation / Sales team
- Prepare Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, including as-built drawings
- Coordinate closely with the Production team during manufacturing
- Liaise with OEMs and Estimation teams for software-oriented drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Support Estimators on Oil & Gas projects with datasheet compliance and GA drawing submissions
- Prepare BOMs for ordering and procurement inputs
Qualifications & Experience
- 35 years of experience in LV switchgear panel design (Power Panels & MCCs)
- Strong knowledge of control and power wiring design and applications
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering (minimum)
- Proficiency in EPLAN and other relevant design tools
