We are looking for a Design Engineer (Geotechnical / Piling) to join our client's Operations — Engineering & Design team based in Abu Dhabi.
The role is responsible for developing practical, buildable piling designs that support both tendering and project delivery. Working from soil-investigation data, structural information, specifications and project requirements, you will design piling solutions that are technically sound, commercially viable and appropriate for site conditions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in civil/geotechnical engineering, with a strong focus on piling and foundation works.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in piling design, preferably with a piling contractor or specialist foundation contractor.
- Practical experience in designing bored piles and/or CFA piles.
- Good understanding of pile capacity, settlement, reinforcement, and piling construction methodologies.
- Experience interpreting soil investigation reports, geotechnical data, and parameters.
- Ability to prepare clear and accurate engineering calculations, pile schedules, and technical documentation.
- Good understanding of piling construction methods and practical site requirements.
- Strong technical communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- UAE experience and knowledge of local ground conditions would be highly advantageous.
