Key roles & responsibilities
- Provide support to Business Development by producing technical proposal, estimated project PV capacity and costing through technical assessment of site and drawings
- Produce design drawings e.g. Single line diagram, Module arrangement layout, Stringing arrangement, inverter arrangement using AutoCAD software
- Develop design specifications and functional requirements for projects
- Complete system designs for PV projects including site plans, mechanical racking and attachment plans, single-line electrical drawings, specification of balance of system location and interconnection details
- Analyze factors affecting performance of PV systems
- Perform software simulations of solar photovoltaic (PV) system performance & energy production
- Perform design calculation, voltage drop, fault current and etc.
- Provide engineering support during installation
- Assist in reviews and approval of engineering drawing submissions from contractors
- Ensure the compliance with specifications and requirements in the signed EPC contracts
- Work with O&M Team to review system performance and improve designs
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical engineering discipline
- 3 to 5 years experience in Solar PV system design / engineering
- Being a motivated individual with excellence in their work H
- Have a basic understanding of business acumen, Can-do attitude, problem solver
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced Excel capability
- Familiar with engineering software such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, Sketchup, SolarGIS, Helioscope
- Able to contribute and collaborate efficiently as a team member, achieving objectives as a group
