Job Purpose:
Electrical Design Lead will be capable of reviewing & executing Electrical Engineering Activities for AIS / GIS Substations covering the full cycle of works from pre-bid engineering to support during commissioning and warranty periods and to extend support to site team
.Will lead a team of Design Engineers and Draughtsman to manage the Engineering activities within budget, deliver on time and maintaining a high quality of engineering
- Key Drivers:
- Review drawings by Design Engineers & Draughtsman & checking of design & sizing calculations of electrical equipment and obtaining approvals from the client.Check deliverables such as Equipment layouts, Cable Routing Layout, Cable Tray Layout, Earthing Layout, lighting Layout, Lightning Protection Layout, Cabling,interfaces, Schemes, Wiring,SCADA,Control systems.
- Ensure deliveries are aligned to Project Schedule.
Review BOQ and submit to contracts team and provide technical clarifications
Incumbent Profile:
- Electrical Design Engineer with 6+ years expertise in Substation Designing activities, especially for international projects.Expertise in both primary engineering & secondary engineering for substation projects and thorough understanding in design aspects of GIS / AIS Substations.
- Well versed in Substation Primary and Secondary Design including Earthing, Lighting, Lightning Protection, Cabling etc, interfaces between Civil, MEP & Instrumentation and Secondary engineering activities like Schemes, Wiring Diagrams, SCADA & Control System
