Job Overview:
An opportunity is available for a Design Manager to join a well-established organization within the engineering consulting sector in Saudi Arabia.
We are seeking a design leader with a proven track record in managing complex, large-scale projects and driving excellence across multidisciplinary teams.
This role requires a hands-on leader who can oversee the full design lifecycle, ensure high-quality delivery, and effectively manage both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary design teams across Architectural, Structural, and MEP disciplines
- Oversee the full design lifecycle: Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design, and IFC stages
- Ensure design quality, coordination, and timely delivery across all project phases
- Manage and coordinate with subconsultants and external stakeholders
- Drive effective design management practices, including scheduling and delivery timelines
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and maintain strong client relationships
- Apply value engineering, budget control, and the design-to-cost principle
Requirements:
- 8–10 years of experience within engineering consulting/design consultancy
- Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary design teams on complex projects
- Strong background in design coordination and project delivery
- Experience in large-scale projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC is highly preferred
- Strong project management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
