Role Description The Design Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Asyut, Egypt. This role oversees the design process from concept to delivery, ensuring that all engineering and architectural design work meets project requirements, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, reviewing and approving design documents, managing design schedules, and resolving technical issues. The Design Manager collaborates closely with project managers, site supervision teams, and clients to align design solutions with project goals and budget constraints. The role also involves mentoring junior designers, implementing design best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of ECB's design management system.
Qualifications

• Strong expertise in design management, including leading multidisciplinary design teams and managing design workflows.
• Proficiency in relevant design and engineering software (e.g., CAD/BIM tools) and familiarity with applicable codes and standards.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating with project management and site supervision teams to ensure design feasibility and constructability.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
• Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with proven capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline; professional certifications are a plus.
• Experience in consultancy or engineering firms, preferably within the region, and understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality management principles.
• Ability to work on-site in Asyut, Egypt, with a commitment to ethical, inclusive, and non-discriminatory professional conduct.
