Design Manager- Luxury Interior Design

The Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing all design output, guiding the team through concept to design development, and ensuring consistency in quality, aesthetics, and execution across projects. This is not a sales role. The focus is purely on design leadership, mentoring, coordination, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Leadership

Lead and review design concepts across residential and hospitality projects

Ensure all designs align with design language and luxury positioning

Provide clear, constructive design feedback to designers and 3D teams

Maintain high design standards from concept through detailed design

Team Management

Manage and mentor interior designers, FF&E team members, and coordinators

Support junior and intermediate designers in improving space planning and design thinking

Coordinate workloads and design timelines with the Studio Director

Project Coordination

Oversee design deliverables across all stages (Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design)

Review layouts, material boards, and design presentations before client issue

Coordinate with CAD, FF&E, and 3D teams to ensure design intent is maintained

Quality Control

Final review of design packages prior to client presentation

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of design documentation

Identify design risks early and propose solutions

Requirements

1015+ years of experience in luxury interior design

Strong background in high-end residential and hospitality projects

Excellent space planning and concept development skills

Proven experience managing and mentoring design teams

Strong eye for materials, proportions, and detailing

Ability to translate concept into buildable, clear design direction

Experience working in the GCC is preferred
