Design Manager

JOB PURPOSE :

The Design Manager is responsible for leading the architectural and interior design process, ensuring high-quality designs that meet regulatory requirements and client expectations. The role involves managing design resources, coordinating with consultants, ensuring compliance with project budgets, and overseeing a team of designers to deliver projects efficiently.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design Management & Coordination:

• Lead the development and execution of design strategies across all project phases-from concept to construction

• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants (architects, engineers, planners) to ensure cohesive and integrated design solutions

• Review and approve design submissions to ensure alignment with project objectives, brand standards & regulatory requirements Project Delivery Support

• Oversee preparation and delivery of design documentation, including concept designs, schematic drawings, construction drawings & tender packages

• Provide technical input and design guidance throughout the project lifecycle

• Facilitate timely resolution of design-related issues, including those arising during construction Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure all design work complies with Saudi building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations

• Conduct design audits and manage quality control measures to maintain accuracy and design integrity

• Support in obtaining design approvals from relevant authorities and municipalities Stakeholder Engagement

• Liaise with Project Management, Development, and Marketing teams to ensure design meets functional, commercial, and branding requirements

• Present design concepts and progress reports to senior management and key stakeholders

• Act as a key point of contact for consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies on design-related matters Innovation & Market Trends

• Stay updated with industry trends, materials, technology, and sustainability innovations

• Recommend design improvements and new approaches to maintain design competitiveness

4. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field

Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in design management, including project approvals, consultant coordination, and stakeholder engagement

• Strong expertise in budgeting, BOQs, and procurement strategies related to design projects

• Strong knowledge of Saudi regulations, local authority processes, and urban development standards
